The Free Methodist Church in Great Britain was formed in 1971 by a group of people who felt a call of God on their lives to be a Bible believing Methodist people, and this could still be said of the movement today that we desire to be a people rooted in the authority of the whole of God's word, filled with and moving in the power of the Holy Spirit, seeking to bring the message of God's Kingdom to a new generation.

The Alpha Course
The Alpha Course has been running for over 26 years. It began at Holy Trinity Brompton in central London, in the late 1970s, initially as a means of presenting the basic principles of the Christian faith to new Christians in a relaxed and informal setting.
