Have you ever found that on a Sunday it can be very hard to really get to know anyone? It isn’t until you sit down with someone over a meal or a drink that you start to really get to know people and make real friendships.
In the early church, we read that the first Christians as well as continuing “to meet in the temple courts, they broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.”
The rapid expansion of the Christian church in the first few centuries after Jesus’s ascension was due in part to a loving, family commitment that developed that saw believers meet in each other's homes to share fellowship.
Here at LFM we recognise that for us to be “the church we see” we have to invest in a commitment to being a “loving family.” This doesn’t happen when we only meet on a Sunday, but through us being willing to learn how to do life together. Through this website we want to invite you to join with us and become part of our family.
Do you want to connect better with people at LFM? If you do, we have 8 small groups that meet in different areas of the city on a fortnightly basis.Life Groups provide an opportunity for people to make friends, grow in their faith and do life together. They are informal, friendly and supportive, providing an ideal setting in which to meet new people.
Life Groups are designed to be life-enriching times of social interaction. They consist of plenty of cake and coffee, prayer, lively discussion and getting deeper into the Bible.
