When I worked in London, we had a team whose sole purpose it was to help people develop their potential. As an organisation, we knew that different people had different gifts, but that we needed to identify people’s talents, skills and gifts and find ways to release their inherent potential if we were to fulfil our purpose together.

Such forward thinking has always remained with me, and as a Pastor I believe that one of the principle charges that God gives his church is to use our gifts and talents so that as a community together we can fulfil his purpose for the church.

As a leadership, we know that you are amazing. God has given LFM incredible people, with incredible gifts; but how do we  develop together to become a community that brings genuine life transformation through Jesus Christ to our city? Unlocking Our Potential is something that we as a leadership team have been working and praying together on since May 2010, taking time to seek God’s plan for our future ministry as a church within Lancaster.

This booklet is produced to help us share with you what we believe God is calling us to, so we can begin to Unlock Our Potential and grow to become a church that sees God’s transforming power at work through our city. We know that for this to happen, our complete reliance has to be on God; with this in mind, we humbly offer Unlocking Our Potential to you and invite you to partner with us and be a part of something special within this great church and city.
